About the Author
Allan Schnarr is a spouse, father, Papa, brother, son, friend, and companion. His lifelong dedication is to living into and learning from the embodied relational truth. This journey led him, as a clinical psychologist and trauma survivor, into needing to create/discover a model for understanding developmental progress through the lens of emotion and relationship. His studies in theology and spirituality led to his appreciation that in essence the transformational journey is the spiritual path of communion with the energy which is Spirit. Allan’s words all come from and describe his experience in his own body and in relationship.
(Allan was associate faculty of the graduate school of Loyola University in Chicago – in the Institute of Pastoral Studies for 25 years. He created and led an experiential course in mutual relationships, the foundational course in the Masters in Pastoral Counseling program. He was the director of an internship for therapists at Claret Center for 30 years, where he also led experiential workshops in embodied emotional wisdom. Allan has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1983.)
